The B-17G variant exceeded the combined production numbers of previous variants and was developed to facilitate bombing operations against enemy goals and crush them utterly. The B-17G variant delivered on rectifying various shortcomings of previous incarnations of the Flying Fortress and made crucial improvements, primarily upgrading the aircraft's defensive armament. The Flying Fortress was developed as a massive defensive armament. It was thought that an entire fleet of B-17s could quickly annihilate attacking aircraft, lending to its fearsome reputation as a force to be reckoned with. This model kit faithfully recreates the B-17G Flying Fortress with the Special Nose Art, in 1/72 scale.

HIGHLIGHTS

New 2024 Release

1/72 scale model kit

B-17G Flying Fortress

Special Nose Art Edition

Product code: 12414

High-quality plastic parts

Features highly detailed:

Interior and exterior

Cockpit and bomb bay

Fully engraved panel lines

Open or closed doors of the bomb bay

Includes:

PE and transparent parts

Six finishing options:

"Ruby's Raiders", B-17G-50-DL (44-6483) 550BS/385BG

"Thunderbird", B-17G-25-DL (<chrome_annotation role="link">42-38050</chrome_annotation>) 359BS/303BG

"Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby", B-17G-35-BO (<chrome_annotation role="link">42-32076</chrome_annotation>) 401BS/91BG

"Nine O Nine", B-17G-30-BO (<chrome_annotation role="link">42-31909</chrome_annotation>) 323BS/91BG

"Mount'n Ride", B-17G-20-BO (<chrome_annotation role="link">42-31585</chrome_annotation>) 323BS/91BG

"Little Miss Mischief", B-17G-35-VE (<chrome_annotation role="link">42-97880</chrome_annotation>) 324BS/91BG

Waterslide decals

Detailed manual
